2008 Chevy Aveo Shifter Linkage. I called Bob Bell and they told me that the gear shifter locking is probably due to a sensor going bad that tells your car it is in park. I recently replaced the shift shaft lever aka shift linkage. 2008 Aveo Shifter Linkage fell apart 2008 Aveo 96xxx miles 5spd Driving down the highway the shifter would not physically go into 5th. If its anything like my 06 aveo when you shift into reverse you have to lift the little circle thing on your shifter up ad act like your putting it into first.
